A Parent's Perspective: Is the doctor taking my child's health seriously?

To my Northwest Florida community,

If you haven’t noticed by now, more and more families are coming to Rise Chiropractic to become healthier.

A particular practice member recently spoke up about her 5-year-old son’s allergy issues and emotional volatility. The little guy is shy, serious, has trouble making friends, and is anxious about new social interactions. This is spilling over into daycare where he is having trouble with other kids. The mom has been to a few other doctors who have run a barrage of allergy tests. He has been subject to poking, prodding, and red rashes with no solution given, instead, more tests and restrictions. The other docs dismissed his anxiety and said he would grow out of it - no big deal. No big deal for whom?
 
I was appalled that a doctor could be so callous about a mother’s concern for her child and this little boy’s current struggle. I told the mom that I would love to help her son. She was surprised yet curious because this type of Chiropractic care (for kids and for issues beyond pain) was new to her.
 
And here it is... when it comes to children’s health challenges the physical symptoms may or may not be severe, but the emotional scares can last a lifetime.
 
When the mom brings him in for a Baseline Assessment I bet he will show other deficiencies perhaps in sensory integration, immune system, behavior, or even learning.
